DESCRIPTION:There’s one veteran from the War of Independence buried in 
 Alliance.\n\nHis name is John Shreve.\n\nStark County is named after 
 another patriot.\n\nHis name is John Stark.\n\nRodman Public Library 
 Community Relations Manager Jack R. Weber Jr. will explore both of their 
 stories when he presents “Shreve and Stark: Alliance’s Connections to 
 the Revolutionary War.” on Monday\, June 29.\n\nThe program will be given 
 twice – once at 11 a.m. and again at 6 p.m. \n\nRegistration is 
 required.\n\nThe program\, which is part of Alliance’s America 250 
 festivities and is co-sponsored by Rodman Public Library and the Alliance 
 Historical Society.\n\nBoth men led remarkable lives and were part of some 
 major battles and other milestones in America’s fight for freedom.
