Shreve & Stark: Alliance's Connection to the American Revolutionary War In-Person
There’s one veteran from the War of Independence buried in Alliance.
His name is John Shreve.
Stark County is named after another patriot.
His name is John Stark.
Rodman Public Library Community Relations Manager Jack R. Weber Jr. will explore both of their stories when he presents “Shreve and Stark: Alliance’s Connections to the Revolutionary War.” on Monday, June 29.
The program will be given twice – once at 11 a.m. and again at 6 p.m.
Registration is required.
The program, which is part of Alliance’s America 250 festivities and is co-sponsored by Rodman Public Library and the Alliance Historical Society.
Both men led remarkable lives and were part of some major battles and other milestones in America’s fight for freedom.
